The move created functional and discipline issues for the army. But Kuwait Interior Ministry found a compromise to this problem. It asked female army officers to willingly surrender their right to be saluted by male junior officers. In return they would be compensated with extra 35 Dinar allowance. Those who cannot find the idea acceptable should look for transfer to other area like Airport security and ministries.
