Haraam: Only Five things!

Most Muslims think that there are too many things Haraam in Islam. Not really. Other than certain Forbidden things that are eaten or drunk, the Qur'an declares Haraam only five things.
1. Indecent shameful deeds, open or secret
2. Actions that hurt the ‘self’ and drag down the individual and collective human potential
3. Unjust aggression
4. Associating others with God (Shirk), for which He has sent down no authority
5. Saying things about God that you do not know
7:33 Say, "My Lord forbids only: Indecent shameful deeds, open or secret, actions that hurt the ‘self’ and drag down the individual and collective human potential, unjust aggression, associating others with God (Shirk), for which He has sent down no authority, and that you say things about God that you do not know.”
