Bat Ye’or: The Muslims see the extension of Jihad as a war liberating the infidels from their infidelity and a privilege for them to enter in the religion of Islam and to abandon their wrong belief. So Jihad is seen as a favor which is given to the infidel population in order to change their ways and convert to the true religion: Islam.

Answer: Dear Ma’am, with all due respect, you have provided no evidence, reference or example to substantiate your statement. This necessitates the repetition of some of the information presented before.

One - Please recall the ‘No Compulsion’ Clause:
2:256 There is absolutely no compulsion or coercion in Religion. The right direction has been made distinct from error…

Two - Freedom of Religion:
2:193 So, fight them (who compel) only until there is no more harassment, and Religion may be adopted for the sake of God alone…

Three - Protection of temples and monasteries:
22:39 Permission to fight is granted to those against whom war is wrongfully waged. God is Able to support them.

22:40 …If God had not enabled some people to repel others, Monasteries, Churches, Synagogues, and Masjids, where the Name of God is oft mentioned, would have been destroyed. And God will certainly help those who help Him. God is Mighty, Powerful.

The Noble Koran
8:67
>>> It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war (and free them with ransom), until he had made a great slaughter (among his enemies) in the land. You desire the good of this world (i.e. the money of ransom for freeing the captives), but Allah desires (for you) the Hereafter. And Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise. <<<
BUT it is mandatory for Muslims to free the captives as soon as the battle is over.

One has reason to be skeptical of any translation that spells even the Noble Book wrongly. Notice “Koran” instead of Qur’an. The problem is compounded with the excessive use of brackets in a small verse. The correct rendition follows. Read the verse carefully and see the benevolent commandment. By Divine ordinance given in 47:4, the captives have to be freed as soon as the battle is over. Their freedom is mandatory by way of kindness if exchange of POWs is not applicable and the opponents are unable to pay ransom.

8:67 It is beyond the dignity of a Prophet to hold any captives except during warfare in the region. You may desire the fleeting gains of this world, but God advocates the Hereafter. God is Almighty, Wise.

47:4 If you meet the disbelievers in battle, strike at their command centers, until you have subdued them, then, bind them firmly. And thereafter, there must be an act of kindness or ransom when the battle lays down its weapons…

Mr. Walid Shoebat: In the Muslims thinking, in the Muslim Shari’ah, the way the world is depicted is in Two Houses. It’s called Darul Islam or Darul Harb, the House of Islam or the House of War. So the whole world is under these Two Houses. If you’re not a Muslim you’re under the House of War. In the West, the apologists, Islamic apologists, would say: No, it’s not accurate. It’s is the House of Peace and the House of Islam. In fact, that’s not accurate. If you look at the Hadith and what comes from the highest jurisprudence in the Middle East, that is what is being taught.

Answer: Dear Sir, respectfully speaking, you seem to be a little confused here. Do you mean that a British Christian or Jew living in Britain, or an American Christian or Jew living in America is under the House of War? How come?

To repeat what you said:
“If you’re not a Muslim you’re under the House of War.”
Now, you certainly know that Islam means Peace. So, are the “Islamic apologists” throwing an apology here or did you just do that?

You said the Islamic apologists say: There is a House of Peace and a House of Islam. Well, then there are Two Houses that are One: The House of Peace and the House of Peace (since Islam = Peace)! Even a mentally challenged person will not make that statement.

Ideally, and ultimately, however, humans will learn from their bitter experiences and establish One House of Peace which echoes the oft repeated Qur’anic Message:

Kaan-an-Naasa Ummata-anw-Waahidah = Mankind were, and are, all one single community (and we all are children of the One True God). Sir, the Truth has its own ways of expounding itself and we have just seen that. I wish you had quoted the Hadith that you didn’t. But here is the Authentic Qur’an to settle the issue. The man-made Shari’ah stands nowhere in the Light of the Glorious Book.

10:25 God calls to the Home of Peace, and leads men and women to the straight path. He does guide to the straight path him who wills to be guided.
