There are thirty distinct whole numbers that are mentioned in the Qur’an: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, [11], 12, [19], 20, 30, 40, [50], [60], 70, [80], [99], 100, 200, [300], 1000, [2000], [3000], [5000], [50000] and [100000]. The numbers that are inside the bracket in the list occur only once. The eight distinct fractions used in the Qur’an are 1/10, 1/8, 1/6, 1/5, 1/4, 1/3, 1/2 and 2/3, some of which occur more than once.

There are a lot of websites raising funds for those affected by wars and natural calamities around the world. Also, there are a few stories about the fundraising NGOs keeping a major share of the amount so collected for administration and distribution fees. So, what is the best way to give Zakat other than through personal contacts to the needy? Your thoughts, please.

Every charity keeps some donations for admin etc. If you can find one that uses less for this and more for the needy, then this would be better.
Those on TV are the worst as the channel takes a huge cut so avoid those.
