Quran and other holy books physical period.

Post by Sidqi »

Quran was compiled nd written in book form. during third caliphate. This is undisputable.

But do Taurah and Injeel were present at that period in physical book form written by ....
I never read this fact. Is there any history reference regarding presence of all three books at the same time.
Some ref is about uncle of Khadija Bibi, his name was Warqa bin Nofle, who was master on poetry and jews writings.
Thank You.

The Prophet PBUH was able to read and write. The assumption that the Quran was compiled during the third caliphate is erroneous.
The compilation process of the Quran was completed in book form during the lifetime of the Prophet. It does not make any sense that the Prophet would leave this world without leaving behind the complete book of Allah, the Quran.

Quran was a writing, a Book, from the very start of its revelation; and it was Mohammad pbuh who managed to keep the revelations in the Book Form constantly as it continued being revealed bit by bit. None other than the Almighty Himself testifies to it. Therefore, all theories about its “jamaa’ and tadween” in the period after Prophet Mohammad, stand invalid. These stories were concocted by enemies to relegate the stature of this Divine revelation.

Please see the divine testimony in Quran’s words about its status as a Book (having been written) even when it was still being revealed:-

1. Verse No.80/11-16
No. It indeed is a remembrance/advice; So, whoever may wish, may remember it/take advice from it; it is in exalted pages, lofty in status, written by those who were highly respected scribes.
2. Verse No.85/21-22
BUT, that is an honorable Quran; in a guarded Scripture.
3. Verse No.56/77-80
I do swear by the Galaxies; and had you known it, that ’s a great oath to take; that indeed is a respected Quran; safely placed in a written volume; none may benefit from it except those with the purity of heart and mind; gradually revealed by the Lord of the Worlds.
4. Verse No.25/5
And they say, it is the ancient scriptures that he had got written; and the same is dictated by him mornings and evenings.
5. Verse No.98/2-3
A Messenger from Allah, reciting purified written pages/scriptures, wherein are established laws.
6. Verse No.52/1-3
I swear by the Toor (Quran); and by the Book written in lines, on the widespread pages (Quran)!
7. Verse No.41/41-2
And indeed that is a dominant Book (Quran); Foul does not enter it from front or back (presently or in future); revealed gradually from the Wise and the Praiseworthy.

.............................................

"...Despite the controversy generated by Islamic historical sources, from a Quranic analysis it appears that the complete Quran was fully transcribed, compiled and committed to writing during the life of the Prophet.

From the Quran’s perspective (without question the most reliable historical source contemporaneous to the time of the Prophet), the position that a later copy had to be collated / compiled by the companions of the Prophet seems untenable.

If one accepts the testimony of the Quran, all debates surrounding the Quran being committed to writing later by the Caliphs, or the burning of certain copies, or to its insinuated redaction, missing verses, political motives, or the idea of companions writing it on leaves, animals skins or debris parchments become futile..."

Mubbishir Bhai Sahab, Salam and best regards.
Sir, the post and topic was not about Quran completion. It was about physical presence of other holy books at the time. Many surahs of quran resemble Taurah and Injeel chapters like in Surah Baqrah and Kahaf or details of hell, heaven and many more.
Thank you. Sidqi.

How can you prove that it is the original Quran compiled by the 3rd caliph?

Salutations Mubashir,

With reference to the Qur'anic verses mentioned in your last message, you then go on to state the following…

“If one accepts the testimony of the Quran, all debates surrounding the Quran being committed to writing later by the Caliphs, or the burning of certain copies, or to its insinuated redaction, missing verses, political motives, or the idea of companions writing it on leaves, animals’ skins or debris parchments become futile..."

As again, I want to thank you for providing us all such a straightforward but at the same time, an extremely powerful and effective clarification on this matter; your concise response absolutely annihilates the point or argument without the requirement of any superfluous rambling.
