The Legend of Adam, Eve and Satan

Post by 1RationalThinker »

Not very long ago, Adam and Eve lived between the rivers Tigris and Euphrates in the area known as Babylon. This beautiful and fertile piece of land was full of trees bearing fruits of many kind, colorful birds, and beautiful animals like cows, goats, and sheep. There was plenty of food, milk, honey, and wine to go around. Although very primitive, Adam and Eve were the parents of the modern-day mankind. They did not desire much more than they already had, an abundance of food, wine, water, and sex. Despite having everything they desired, they were not happy since they were forbidden to approach the tree of knowledge to the eternal life. They knew that they would someday die.

The desire to live forever was the curse of Adam and Eve and often manifested itself as Satan which eventually empowered them to eat the forbidden fruit which led to the wrath of God. God expelled them from the Garden which, resulted their wandering of many years in the sand dunes and mountains nearby without much to eat and drink. Their curse would be their desire for procreation and create filth and garbage in the land. There they would kill each other and shed the blood of the fellow human beings over petty things.

After expelling Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden, God was not happy. He taught Adam how to file a petition of forgiveness in His Divine Court of Justice. After submitting their petition, it was readily accepted by God and they were granted conditional forgiveness. The main condition of forgiveness and the opportunity to get back to Gardens was to continue to live a short period of life outside the Garden and prove to God that they can overcome the rebellious human nature called Satan. Those who would overcome Satan and do good deeds for the citizens of the planet and do not destroy the property of God, would get back to Eden but those who would not, go to an alternative place called Hell. They will have eternal life in their future abodes.
