Mr Obama said that in nearly eight years since the September 11 attacks, al-Qaeda and it allies had moved to havens in the mountainous Pakistani side of the Afghan border, almost certainly including, he said, Osama bin Laden and his deputy Ayman al-Zawahiri. Obama Announces Escalation Of War In Afghanistan, Pakistan


The policy Obama announced represents a massive increase in military violence not only in Afghanistan, but also in Pakistan. Significantly, Obama devoted the first half of his remarks to Pakistan, signaling that a major conclusion of his administration’s strategic review is to expand the war more aggressively beyond the borders of Afghanistan. This will mean the deaths of untold thousands Afghans and Pakistanis, the expenditure of hundreds of billions of dollars, and the deaths of thousands of US youth, sent to kill or be killed in a wider war in South and Central Asia.

South Asian Terrorism: All Roads Lead To The British Empire

The growing violence throughout Pakistan since the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan in the Winter of 2001, the November 2008 attack on Mumbai, India, and many other smaller terrorist-directed killings in India, and the gruesome killing of at least 70 top Bangladeshi Army officers in a plot to assassinate Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wazed last month, were evidence that the terrorists have declared war against the sovereign nation-states in South Asia. The only bright spot in this context is Sri Lanka, where a powerful terrorist group, the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), better known as the Tamil Tigers, are about to lose their home base. That, however, may not end the LTTE terrorism, particularly since it is headquartered in London, where many South Asian terrorists are maintained in separate cages for future use by British intelligence, with the blessings of Her Majesty’s Service.

Pakistan: Was Kurd Betrayed By Nawaz & Aitzaz?


Finally, news is trickling in about a deal that sealed the fate of the incomplete Long March on Mar. 16. The new information suggests that Mr. Nawaz Sharif, Mr. Aitzaz Ahsan and the Zardari government ensured that Ali Ahmed Kurd, the supposed leader of the lawyers’ movement, was prevented from reaching Lahore or Islamabad so that the Nawaz-Aitzaz-Zardari deal on the lawyers’ movement can be sealed. The new deal calls for burying the NRO issue for good and diverting people’s attention by legally pursuing Mr. Musharraf on charges of leading a military coup. Welcome again to Pakistan’s dirty politics. We told you this failed political system does not deserve to be rescued. The political wolves have eaten the lawyer hens.

Going After Musharraf?

The man was hand in glove with Musharraf. After his dismissal, his reinstatement became a personal crusade camouflaged as a battle for independent juduciary. As a proof that this was a battle devoid of any higher principle, Mr. Iftikhar Chaudhry did not hesitate for a second in mortgaging his ’cause’ to the politicians. He let Aitzaz Ahsan use him to help Benazir Bhutto get a better deal from Musharraf. He then let both Zardari and Nawaz use him to win elections. And then he allowed Nawaz Sharif to use him to get back at Zardari. Now that all the corrupt players of Pakistan’s dirty politics have decided to end this issue through some kind of a secret arrangement, the Pakistani people and the media is beginning to smell rat.

India to make Pakistan barren by 2014

Speaking on the occasion, representatives of various farmers organizations said India had violated the Indus Water Treaty by constructing the Baghlihar Dam. They said if the Pakistani government remained inactive, then India would destroy Pakistan’s economy and capture the country without a war.

Muddling Balochistan

America is interested in the Balochistan’s oil and gas reserves and wants to establish its influence in the province just to take benefits when the resources would come into utilization and these resources will help America fight the economic set back, which it is experiencing presently. In addition, America has concerns about Iranian influence over the Baloch tribes. America wants to reduce this influence because in case of any action against Iran, it does not face hard resistance from Balochistan. According to some in house moles, in order to reduce the Iranian influence in Balochistan, America is funding anti-Shia groups like the Sipah-e-Sahaba and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi in Balochistan. This is true that by creating unrest in Balochistan, America will be able to counter Chinese presence in Gwadar as it does not want China to be anywhere near its military bases in the Gulf area but the point to ponder here is that even if somehow America succeeds in achieving the above-mentioned aims by creating unrest in Balochistan i.e. by carrying out drone attacks, the repercussions will be so severe that it won’t be possible for America to handle them. For instance, people of Balochistan are already very enthusiastic that they will not care for the bloodshed but will fight the American intrusion with fidelity and courage.
