WOMEN AND PROPERTY
January 17th, 2008 by Dr. Shabbir

Our Sister Courtney Schatz has asked me to cite some Quranic verses that allow women to own property and keep their money. She sent me a newspaper report from Pakistan stating that a woman went to the “Women’s Bank” at Lahore. She asked for a $300.00 loan for her little farm.

The loan was happily granted to her by the bank operated by stylish women. But the poor, illiterate woman was not told that she would have to pay back the loan with a whopping 16% interest. Adding insult to injury, as soon as she went home, her husband and son took charge of the money saying that Islam did not allow women to keep any money.

Question: Are women allowed to own property and keep the money they earn?

Answer: Most of the “Islamic” people in the world are venomed by the Mullahs and Imams into forsaking the Quran and following the detestable manmade books. And through these books they deny all human rights to women.

For example:
*Let not your humor take away your fear from the wife. A wife should forever remain a concubine to her husband.

Seek advice from women but always do against it. If a man leaves his women free to themselves, they will cross all limits. Stop her from going out of home to the best of your ability. Do not let her go to the door, on top of the house or peek from the window. Tribulations begin from the windows, ventilators, the roofs and doors. (Kimiya Sa’adat, ‘Imam’ Ghazali, Pg 263)

*Physicians who believe that having sex with married women is good for health are wrong. There is a great advantage in having sex with virgin girls. (Tibb-e-Nabawi, The Prophet’s Medicine Pg 320 with reference to Zadil Ma’ad). Here the “great” Imam Al-Muhaddith Ibnil Qayyim is trying to coax men into becoming predators of young girl

Below are given some references from Ehya-ul-’Loom by ‘Imam’ Ghazali:

Sahabi Ma’az bin Jabl was dying of Plague. He said, “Get me married because I hate to meet with Allah while I am single.” (2:42). Ah! The poor woman, marrying for instant widowhood!

*The Prophet said that a piece of rug lying in a corner of the house is better than a woman who is infertile. (2:48)

*Imam Hasan used to divorce four women and marry four others at the same hour. He married more than 200 wives. That is why the Prophet said, “Hasan is from me.” (2:55).

According to the Prophet (S) the most undesirable among permissible acts is divorce.

*Find a woman who is beautiful, well mannered, has big black eyes and black hair, and a white complexion. (2:73). This is Ghazali’s dream girl that he could never attract.

*The *Prophet (S) said, “The best wives are those who look beautiful and their Mehr (marital portions or gift) is small.” (2:74). The exalted Prophet had advised character as the first and foremost criterion in the selection of a spouse.

*Hasan Basri rightly said, “A husband who does what his wife tells him, Allah will throw him headlong in Hell. (2:81)

*Ghazali insults Hazrat Umar by ascribing this statement to him: Ask women their advice and then act precisely opposite to them. There is much blessing in doing the opposite of what women advise.” (Ehya 2:81)

*The Prophet said, “If a husband has all of his body, from head to toe, filled with pus and the wife licks him all over, even then she has not thanked him enough.” (2:103). Notice the sick mentality of ‘Imam’ Ghazali.

While the Criminal “Imams” of Islam remain bent upon denying all human rights to women, see what the QURAN has to say:

2:228 — Women, in all equity, have rights similar to men. —.

4:34 Men are the protectors and supporters of women. They shall take full care of women with what they spend of their wealth. God has made men to excel in some areas and women to excel in some areas. Men should ensure that women are able to stand at their feet in the society. —.

4:32 Do not covet the bounties (and qualities) that God has bestowed more abundantly on some of you than on others. Men shall have a portion from what they earn, and women shall have a portion from what they earn. Therefore, seek out of God’s bounty (to the best of your abilities). God is a Witness to everything. [4]

4:6 Train and educate the orphans (boys or girls) well. When they reach the age of marriage, and attain sound judgment, release their property to them. —.

4:7 Men get a share of what the parents and near relatives leave behind. Women get a share of what the parents and near relatives leave behind. Whether the inheritance is small or large, these shares have been ordained as a duty.

2:187 —.They (Women) are your garments and you are their garments - close to each other, source of mutual comfort, complementing each other, trustworthy and keepers of privacy, reason for décor, and redressers of faults.—.

28:77 “Seek, by means of what God has granted you, the Home of the Hereafter, but do not forget your portion in this world. —.

65:1 O Prophet! When you men intend to divorce women, make sure that the waiting period is observed. Keep precise account of this interim. Be mindful of God, your Lord. Never expel them from THEIR homes, nor shall they themselves leave their homes unless they commit open immorality. These are, then, the limits imposed by God. And whoever crosses God’s limits, hurts one’s own ‘self’. You do not know that God may bring about thereafter a new situation (help create reconciliation).

[Note that homes belong to women. The waiting period before a divorced woman or a widow can remarry, has been explained before and reiterated now. (65]
