DEMOCRACY OR NOT?

Whether a monarchy, communism, theocracy, any kind of despotism or democracy, all systems of government inevitably come up with two classes of people, the ruler and the ruled. The very term 'rule' necessitates a ruling class and a ruled class. Democracy is government of the people, by the people, for the people is quite an attractive statement but in a very subtle manner it conceals, 'over the people'. So, democracy essentially is the government of the majority over the minority. It may sound astonishing but, according to the Qur'an, the majority of mankind is wrongdoers and misguided. How about this? Democracy is government of the people, by the people, for the people, over the people. The majority in a democracy can make any laws against the will of the minority. Even the constitution can be amended to authorize inappropriate moral conduct if the majority so wills. Since this is not a treatise on democracy, we need not go into countless other flaws of the system pointed out by some of the brightest minds.

The Islamic System of government is close to democracy in some ways like the public having a voice and leaders sitting in mutual consultation but there are differences of paramount importance. For example, no amount of majority can trespass the Qur'an and declare alcohol and gambling as permissible. Same goes for homosexuality and mutual cohabitation without marriage, unjust aggression, usury, pornography, prostitution etc.

9:32 They seek to extinguish Allah’s Light (the Qur’an) by their utterances 61:8. But Allah will not allow this to pass, for He has willed to spread His Light in all its fullness even though the rejecters may detest it.

9:33 He it is Who has sent His Messenger with Guidance and the True Religion (DEEN = The System of Life), that He may cause it to prevail over all religions and systems of life, even though the idolaters may detest it. (9:31-33, 13:31, 14:48, 18:48, 41:53, 48:28, 51:20-21, 61:9).

2:23 (For the real skeptic We have a reason friendly offer.) If you are still in doubt concerning that which We have revealed unto Our servant (Muhammad), call and set up (a committee, commission, organization, association of the highest order) all your helpers besides Allah, and then produce just one Surah like this, if you are men of Truth.
[Bring some chapters of comparable merit that even come close to it in magnificence, eloquence, grandeur and wisdom 10]
2:24 And if you fail to do it - and fail you will, yet remain haughty and scornful, it should be easy to think of the outcome. You will live a life unfulfilled; the natural consequence of your stubborn denial. Guard yourselves against the Fire that has been readied for those who remain bent on denying the Truth, and its fuel is the masses and their stonehearted leaders alike. (This Fire is generated in and engulfs the hearts 2:74, 9:110, 66:6, 104:6-7).

This is the chalange to the human being nothing will be as like as Qur'an be made,Qur'an introduce us system Of life given By Allah,So other systems which are man made will be failed and can not guide human for better life and sucess in this world and life here after.

The world has to revert to Qur'an and will.
