Al-Quran does not mentions any sacred four months "not at least in above two verses" It describes a situation where some group of people Or son to the father says “How could you worship idols as gods? I see you and your people are in obvious error.â€6:74.
then they are persecuted and they must fight back to defend , they don't have to stop, until attacks on them have, & that only happens when they have upper hand, now they say live if you want to in peace, otherwise period of reconciliation is 4 months. after which ............................etc, etc.
And the second instance is more complicated, broad, and a way of deception, cheating the system, defying peace treaty, a loop hole by counting their way and not they way it out to be. by reading the whole series matter will be cleared easily.
