One evening a friend of my father came along and asked him to accompany him to visit an interesting person, the owner of a hotel and restaurant. While they were sitting and discussing many topics an old gentleman, a gunsmith came over from his workshop across the road.
My father asked him that he had heard that you are going again to Haj this year. Was not the one visit enough enough?
The man replied, that this time he was going to perform it for his father, a proxy Haj. The hotel owner asked him how long has it been that his father died? The gunsmith replied nearly twenty years.
At this they looked at each other and advised him not to go and waste his money. He asked but why. The hotel owner replied that by now your father has been totalyy screwed up thrashed around and beaten up by the angels and needs no Haj for his rescue. Most Muslims believe in grave punishments which is not according to the Quran.
Proxy Haj is a Mullah Invention and not an order of the Quran.
