Dear BrigGen Shabbir Ahmed Sir,

Need your kind help,

Subject: What actualy these verses from Quran mean.

I read a non Muslims quotation of following verses from Quran.
Taken from the Quran.

Koran 9:29 Fight those who do not profess the true faith (Islam) till they
pay the jiziya (poll tax) with the hand of humility.

Koran 8:12 Remember Thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): "I am
with you: give firmness to the believers, I will instill terror into the hearts
of the unbelievers, Smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger tips
of them." Here Mohammed is giving step by step instruction on how to torture
and kill Kafirs if they don't follow Islam.

Koran 9:73 Prophet, make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal
rigorously with them. Hell shall be their Home: an evil fate.

Koran 47:4 When you meet the unbelievers in the Jihad strike off their heads
and, when you have laid them low, bind your captives firmly. Then grant them
their freedom or take ransom from them, until War shall lay down her burdens.

Koran 5:51 Believers, take neither Jews nor Christians for your friends. They
are friends with one another. Whoever of you seeks their friendship shall
become one of their number. Allah does not guide the wrong-doers.

Koran 9:29 Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last day, nor hold
the forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and his messenger, nor
acknowledge the Religion of Truth from among the People of the Book, until they
pay the Jiziyah with willing submission. And feel themselves subdued.

Koran 76:1-5 For the unbelievers We have prepared chains and fetters and a
blazing Fire...

Could you please clarify their use in context and the right meaning.

Thank you
Wasalaam

Dear brother, AA

The context and correct translation are very important. Respectfully, you are
reading some wrong translations.

Please read QXP and other books at www.ourbeacon.com

Do you live in the USA, brother?

Here is my humble rendition, QXP:

9:29 Fight back against those who do not believe in God, nor in the Last Day,
nor do they prohibit what God and His Messenger have prohibited, nor do they
acknowledge the True ‘Deen’ - among those who were given the Scripture, until
they pay ‘Jizya’ in humility. [‘Deen’ = Divinely Prescribed Way of Life’ = The
Religion. ‘Jizya’ = Legal reparation to be paid by those who unjustifiably
started the war (Ref ‘Mufridat-e-Raghib’]

8:12 This is how your Lord inspired the angels, “I am with you. So make the
believers stand firm. I will cast terror in the hearts of the rejecters of the
Truth. Launch a swift hard strike to disillusion their Command and scatter the
soldiers."

9:73 [Establishment of the Divine System will build a Paradise on earth. But
you will meet staunch opposition] O Prophet! Strive hard against the rejecters
of the Truth and the hypocrites! And be tough with them without the least
inclination towards compromise in matters of Ideology. Their ultimate abode is
Hell, a miserable destination indeed.

47:4 Now if you meet the disbelievers in battle, then, strike at their Command
centers. Until, when you have subdued them, then, bind them firmly. And
thereafter, must be an act of kindness or ransom when the battle lays down its
weapons. And if God willed, He could indeed punish them Himself, but that He
may let you test one by means of another (as to which nation remains vigilant.)
And, as for those who are slain in the Cause of God, He renders not their
actions vain. [8]

5:51 O You who have chosen to be graced with belief! (Since they deny the Final
Revelation that is the Constitution of your state), Do not take the Jews and
Christians as your allies. They are allies of one another. He among you who
takes them for allies is one of them. God does not guide those who displace
Command with desire. [The verse is talking about taking allies on a national
scale, and not about individual friends. See 60]

76:1 Has there not passed over man an era when he was not even worth
mentioning?

76:2 Indeed, it is We who have created the human being from marked out cells,
male and female gametes, that joined. Then We passed him through subtle
changes. And then We made him a being endowed with Hearing and Sight.

76:3 Surely, We it is Who have shown him the Way, whether he be grateful or
ungrateful.

76:4 Indeed, for those who deny the Truth we have readied chains and shackles
and a blazing flame. (Chains and shackles of conjecture, blind following and
superstition, and the fire of confusion and regret are the logical consequences
of relegating the Truth 7:157)

76:5 Indeed, the truly virtuous will drink from a cup sweetened with nectar of
flowers. (‘Kafur’ = Camphor = Cool temperament = Nectar from the calyx of grape
as it flowers = Sweet and fragrant drink of Divine Bliss)

76:6 A spring whereof the servants of God drink – it is they who make it flow
in a flow abundant. (The true servants of God achieve His blessings of Guidance
and all that is good, and share them with fellow human beings)
Wassalam,
SA
