DR VERNON COLEMAN EXPLAINS THE HIDDEN AGENDA

Post by jawaid ahmed »

Vernon Coleman is a liar, fear monger, and a lunatic. Thank God no-one takes him seriously or else we would all be living without in a Alice in Wonderland scenario where the insane know everything and those with knowledge are part of a global, lizard, Jesus is here amongst us, conspiracy.

Wikipedia:

Through his personal blog, Coleman is a regular critic of the European Union and the former Prime Minister Theresa May, and is a supporter of English nationalism and Brexit. Coleman has called for the European Union to be dissolved, claiming the Union is controlled by Nazi sympathisers. Coleman has also claimed British voters who support membership of the European Union are Neo-Nazis.[22]

AIDS Denial

Writing for the Sun Newspaper in the 1980's Coleman denied that AIDS was a significant risk to the heterosexual community. Coleman has more recently claimed AIDS to be a hoax stating "...it is now my considered view that the disease we know as AIDS probably doesn't exist and has never existed". Such claims have been rejected by the medical community.[23][24]

On the 3rd November 1988 writing for The Sun, Coleman claimed "those who still claim that AIDS is a major threat to those who enjoy straight sex are either illiterate or irresponsible". Later, on the 3 August 1989, Coleman wrote a letter to the editor to The Independent claiming "your article [in defense of AIDS awareness] has simply helped to perpetuate a long-standing myth—that AIDS is a threat to heterosexuals". On the 10 August, 1989 Coleman’s Health Matters column later demanded that an AIDS awareness campaigns be abandoned. The following year, on the 17th November 1989 The Sun published an article under the headline "STRAIGHT SEX CANNOT GIVE YOU AIDS—OFFICIAL", claiming "the killer disease AIDS can only be caught by homosexuals, bisexuals, junkies or anyone who has received a tainted blood transfusion". The following day, Coleman supported The Sun's claims with an article under the headline "AIDS—THE HOAX OF THE CENTURY", similarly claiming AIDS was not a significant risk to heterosexuals and that instead, medical companies, doctors and condom manufacturers were conspiring to scare the public and had vested interests in profiteering from public service announcements, and that moral campaigners were attempting to frighten young people into celibacy to establish traditional family values. Coleman also claimed gay activists were "worried that once it was widely known that AIDS was not a major threat to heterosexuals, then funds for AIDS research would fall". The Sun's article and editorial were reported to the Press Council and an adjudication ruled that they were "...misleading in its interpretation... and the headline... was a gross distortion of the statistical information supplied by the Minister."[25][26]

Advertising Standards Authority rulings

In 2005, an advertisement for a book titled "How to Stop Your Doctor Killing You" by Coleman, which claimed doctors were "the person most likely to kill you" was banned by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). Complainants, including a GP, challenged whether the advertisement was misleading, offensive and denigratory to the medical profession. Coleman did not respond to the ASA's request and was found to have been in breach of the organisation's code of conduct concerning non-response, substantiation, truthfulness and intent to cause fear and distress. The ASA also found Coleman had made misleading claims regarding the link between food and cancer and deemed the advert was likely to offend and denigrate the medical profession and noted Coleman's claims such as "Ten reasons why you shouldn't trust your doctor" were irresponsible, as they would discourage people from seeking essential medical help.[1
